SSP was founded in 2015, with only two trucks and two trailers. Not a large operation — a deliberate one. Every dispatch, every handoff, every customer commitment was held to a single standard: accountable execution. The fleet was small. The intention was clear, and the orchestration was dedicated.

The fleet expanded to six trucks and cross-border operations between Canada and the United States moved from plan to execution. SSP's footprint grew — and the operating discipline that defined the first two trucks scaled with every one that followed.

Milton Becomes Home Base
Our operation has now moved to Milton, steels avenue terminal. Fleet capacity reached 35 trucks and 45 trailers. As the operational centre for dispatch, planning, and coordination grew, so did demand for our services. The business had outgrown its starting point — and the SSP team, leaned into it.

Strategic acquisitions brought fleet capacity to 90 trucks and 125 trailers, significantly widening lane coverage and equipment depth across the Canadian and U.S. network. The group grew in reach, not just in numbers. Introduction into the Mexican marketplace.

Introduction to our Global Division, Team Grows, Pandemic started
SSP Truckline now blends into the SSP Group of Companies as we expanded and introduced execution of our Global (3PL Division) in its entirety. Combining this apex with the introduction of Montreal, being our new Quebec District, our gateway into Eastern Canada, we now supported a workforce exceeding 90 employees and continued as a mainstream supply chain leader through out the Pandemic . Coverage and headcount expanded in accordance — each reinforcing oneanother.

SSP Truckline now blends into the SSP Group of Companies as we expanded and introduced execution of our Global (3PL Division) in its entirety. Operations fully launched in Laredo, Texas and Monterrey, Mexico as well as Sacramento, California. This now Completes SSP's Canada–U.S.–Mexico corridor. One accountable operating model. Over 40,000 completed orders closed this chapter —And so our expansion continued.

The SSP Group, moves from the Steeles terminal facility to a new Head Office operation here in Milton Ontario (High point Milton), both Global and Truckline Operations integrated under one roof.

Part of the growth cycle for The SSP Group was a recent acquisition of the all speciality Auto Haul Division here in Milton,Ontario (Lawson Road). Warehousing and cross dock operation followed suit. Introduction of our Miami Distribution network along with Introducing our newest Division offering both LTL services and dedicated specialty car hauling throughout Canada and USA.

As SSP continued to grow, we required more room for trailer inventory, a full maintenace shop on-site, fully secured yard, CCTV, bolstering 2, 10 ton overhead crane systems and easy accessibility to all main arteries in the GTA region.
