Drive with SSP

Run with a fleet that runs to standard.

Become a company driver or owner-operator with SSP — part of an asset-backed North American operation with structured dispatch, real freight, and digital onboarding through DriveDock.

Why Drive for SSP

What drivers get when they join SSP.

SSP runs as an asset-backed operator across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Drivers who join inherit that operating standard — not just a paycheck.

Real freight. Real miles.

SSP’s freight is contracted, lane-anchored, and corridor-structured. You’re not chasing spot loads or waiting in queue — you’re moving freight that’s already booked.

Dispatch you can call.

Real human dispatchers, direct phone access during business hours, and live operations support after hours. Decisions get made fast, exceptions get escalated, and you don’t get lost in a queue.

Equipment maintained to standard.

SSP runs a maintained, modern company fleet. Owner-operators receive structured fuel, tire, and maintenance support tied to the lane and equipment fit.

Growth pathways, not just routes.

Driver progression is part of how SSP operates — from company driver into owner-operator, into specialized freight, or into operations leadership when the path fits.

Driver Requirements

What DriveDock asks you to prepare.

DriveDock keeps onboarding clear by showing document requirements before the application begins. Required documents differ by country, and optional documents help SSP qualify cross-border, owner-operator, and incorporated-driver paths faster.

  • Driver’s license

A current commercial driver’s license is required for both Canada and USA applicants, with endorsements reviewed against the role and freight type.

  • Identity and work eligibility

Canada applicants may need SIN, health card, passport, US visa, or PR/work-permit documentation. USA applicants may need SSN, passport, PR, or citizenship documentation.

  • Medical documentation

Medical documents are collected during onboarding where required, including medical certificate information for USA applicants and applicable health documentation for Canada applicants.

  • Employment and driving history

DriveDock captures employment history and driving record details so SSP can review experience, safety standing, and lane fit before moving to the next step.

  • Cross-border support documents

FAST card, passport, visa, or residency documents help SSP qualify drivers for Canada-U.S. and U.S.-Mexico corridor work where applicable.

  • Owner-operator documents

Incorporation and banking documents may be requested for incorporated drivers or owner-operators so setup can move faster after qualification.

Roles for Drivers

Three ways to drive with SSP.

Whether you’re a company driver looking for stable freight, an owner-operator looking for direct dispatch, or a specialized driver running specialty equipment, there’s a path.

  • Company Driver

Run SSP’s maintained company fleet on dedicated and lane-anchored freight. Predictable miles, consistent home time on most lanes, structured pay.
